You don't need a developer to put size recommendations on your store. With Shopify app blocks and the theme editor, you can launch a 'Find my size' tool in an afternoon — here's the no-code path.

    Notes

Why no-code works now. Shopify's Online Store 2.0 themes support app blocks — drop-in sections you add through the theme editor. Size recommender apps ship as app blocks, so adding a "Find my size" button is drag-and-drop, not Liquid editing.

Step 1 — Install and add measurements. Install a recommender app (e.g. Tailor Size Guide). In the dashboard, enter or import garment measurements per product or category. This is the part that actually determines accuracy, so do it carefully.

Step 2 — Add the app block. Open Online Store → Themes → Customize, go to a product template, click Add blockin the product section, and pick the size recommender block. Drag it near the variant selector.

Step 3 — Style without CSS. Use the block's settings — label text, button style, placement — to match your theme. No custom CSS needed for a clean result; advanced styling is optional.

Step 4 — Assign and test. Map measurement sets to the right products (often by collection or product tag in the dashboard), preview on mobile, and publish. The recommender now appears on every assigned product with zero theme code.

If your theme is older (vintage / non-2.0): most apps offer a fallback embed or a one-line snippet their support can place for you — still no real development work on your side.

    FAQs

Can I add size recommendations to Shopify without code?

Yes. On Online Store 2.0 themes, size recommender apps ship as app blocks you add through the theme editor — no Liquid or CSS required. You install the app, enter measurements, and drag the 'Find my size' block onto the product page.

    Do I need a developer?

No. Installation, measurements, button placement, and product assignment all happen in the app dashboard and the theme editor. A developer is only needed for unusual custom themes, and even then most apps offer a fallback embed.

Will it work on my theme?

Any Online Store 2.0 theme supports app blocks directly. Older 'vintage' themes use a fallback embed or a small snippet the app's support team can place — you still don't write code.

How do I assign recommendations to the right products?

In the app dashboard you map measurement sets to products, usually by collection or product tag, so each product shows the correct sizing. No theme edits required.
